After a long time of denial, Apple has finally accepted to supply bumper casing to what it sees as a small percentage of iPhone 4 users who are complaining of frequently dropped calls. Customers started complaining of the smartphone's signal problem almost immediately after it was available for sale in the US.

Apple's decision was made known at a press conference July 16, 2010. The company managed to dodge issuing a recall, and opted to issuing a 100% refund to any customer who wished to do so within 30 days. Meanwhile, iPhone 4 owners can start ordering their free bumper case early next week until September 30.

Sadly, from the press conference, Apple does not have any plan, from now to the near future, for a redesign of the antennae. The company still sticks to its guns and insists that those complaining of signal problems are not holding the phone in the right position.
